APPROVED from the United States Embassy Vietnam. PLEASE PRAY FOR GABBY TO COME HOME SOON!!!!

(HALLE-GRACE SAYS "CHEERS TO USCIS" *the can was empty...I promise*)
We just received the pre-approval letter dated September 22nd. It is FINALLY HERE! Lulu has her pre-approval and most all of the hens do at this point and time. Looks like all 40+ cases are getting approvals, it's just a matter of time! HALLELUJAH! Just like her name *HALLElujah-Grace*

Hanoi Adoptions Unit
United States Embassy Vietnam
Dear Mr./ Mrs. Devine:
Greetings from the Hanoi Adoptions Unit at US Embassy Hanoi.
As you can see in the attachment, based on a preliminary determination of orphan status by the US Citizenship and Immigration Service you are now authorized to travel to Vietnam to complete your adoption....

Tomorrow, Halle-Grace will have her medical exam at the SOS clinic...then it's the Embassy appointment....then we will be coming home. I am anticipating by the middle or end of next week but I am not certain. I will let you all know ASAP! Dana, call the magazine...Granny, get your depends on, Suzie...get your 15 boxes of tissues and bring some for Kay Kay and BOTH Papaws! I say that because both my dad & Dale cried when I was leaving for Vietnam! I don't know if it was tears of JOY or sadness!!! LOL.... GOSH, I miss all of you! I can't WAIT to see the look on Hunter & Hannah's face! They are so excited to see her on webcam everyday, so I can't wait to see their expressions when they see her in person. Sherry...get Kaitlyn and come on down for the celebration and Uncle Scott & Krista, it's time for the 2X celebration we talked about!

Nanny leaves tomorrow night. I am SO glad she will be able to go to the SOS clinic (they are drawing BLOOD....mama will have to leave the room)!

PLEASE continue to pray for Gabby! She is not feeling too well. Our "soap dog" is just not feeling well. The amazing staff at Carolina Vet. Specialist tell us the soap basically ate her stomach lining. They are pretty certain with a few days of barium coating her stomach and the lining re-growing, she will be OK and be able to go home! WE LOVE THE STAFF there and they have been through so much with us! THANK YOU ALL...I know they are reading the blog too! I will bring Halle-Grace to see you all. Thank you for taking care of MY GABBY GIRL! Jason visited with her last night and is going back tomorrow as well (I PRAY he can bring her home)! Life is full of ups & downs, isn't it? I am estatic to receive the approval as we have been waiting on this piece of paper since MARCH...yet, worried sick about Gabby! I guess God throws something in the way so we don't think about the 27+ hour flight?

We are all (Nanny, Mer, Lulu, Halle-Grace and me) headed downtown to finish some "adoption day gifts" for the girls and eat at KFC! FUNNY HUH??

I have to be honest and say I enjoy Hanoi...if nothing else for the laughs! The people here are SO nice!! And there is no way to describe the motor bikes...pictures don't do it JUSTICE...you have to be here to believe it!

God Bless you all...we can't wait to SEE EVERYONE! Calling the Vet. hospital to check on my other baby girl! Please continue to pray that Gabby gets her approval to come home from the hospital!

Shannon & Halle-Grace *and Nanny for another day* in Vietnam

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAMBO...aka...Uncle Danny! Thank God you are still with us. After your numerous heart attacks and life-flight to Charlotte (CMC) a month ago, I am BLESSED to be able to tell you HAPPY BIRTHDAY and you will get to meet Halle-Grace soon!

Thank the Lord you got this wonderful news! I can't wait to get Hunter and Hannah up and tell them the good news. They have had a hard time understanding why you coundn't come home. Last night when Halle-Grace was playing with a pen, Hannah said she was writing a letter so they would let her come home. Hunter told Nanny to take the pen from her. He was afraid it was going to hurt her. He is like his Moma about worrying. We can't wait to see you!
WE LOVE YOU!!

Hunter and Hannah love this picture. Hunter said the can was almost as big as Halle-Grace! Hunter and Hannah have trouble understanding "tears of JOY". They always worry when they see me crying when I read this. You would think by now, they would be used to their moma "the cry baby". The 15 boxes may not be an exaggeration!!!

Yay!!!!!!!!! Finally!!!!! Clearly, the US didn't want to incur the further wrath of the hens especially with 2 of them in Hanoi, lol.

I so hope Gabby feels better soon. Poor puppy. :( :(

YEAH!!!!!!! I'm so excited for you all. I am praying that Gabby will be able to meet you all too. I hope all goes well at the SOS and at the Embassy. If there is a lady at the SOS named Maxine you'll have to tell her I said "hi". Also, I spoke with a lady named Joyce at the embassy. If that is who you have your appointment with you'll have to say "hi" to her too. What are the odds that they are both still there?!? Will Ninh be taking you to the embassy and clinic or all you all on your own for those appointments?

Praise God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are all so happy!!! Can not wait to see you all.
Suzanne is right, we may need more than 15 boxes of tissues.
For Hunter, Hannah, and Lizzy to finally see Halle-Grace will be awesome. (Zoey doesn't understand, but Halle-Grace will have a new playmate) I will love to see them together.
Love
Granny, Papaw Dale, Dave&Amy,
Liz and Zoey

Shannon, Jason, Halle-Grace, and Gabby,

How Excited We Are For All Of You!!! I read the news and let out a scream. It scared the twins until Mommy told them Halle-Grace is coming home and we are going to have a party!!!! Now they are dancing while I type and yelling "Cake Cake Cake". They associate all parties with Cake (LOL). This is the most exciting news ever and we are just happy for your whole family including the ones waiting on you in North Carolina. Halle-Grace is coming home to so many friends and family who just adore her already. I am calling Kiran at the Magazine right now, well after the girls stop yelling "CAKE"!!!!! God is Wonderful!!!!

Please tell Wanda she is in our prayers as she makes the long journey home. I know it will be hard to leave you and Halle-Grace but I know she is also missing Hunter and Hannah. Let Wanda know I'm ready to make that trip to Wally World and get Party Stuff.

I also said a Prayer for Gabby Girl. I hope she is feeling better today. I can't wait for her and Halle-Grace to meet. Gabby is going to get so many unexpected treats when Halle-Grace eats (LOL).

By the way Momma Shannon it's time to start thinking about a Costume for Halle-Grace's first Halloween. How Exciting!!!!!

Teresa, It won't be long and you too will be here!!! I am excited for you all!

Suzie, bring extra tissues just in case..I miss you and the kids SO MUCH! I love you all to pieces! Mom told me about the pen episode. Hunter is so cautious and always wants to follow the rules... which is great! I will never forget that day in Wal-Mart when he questioned Jason on stealing the cough drops! We need to write that down so we don't forget!

Kris Ann, I still have to face ROOSTER!!! Let's see how much PECKING he wants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sherry, We are SO excited and want to know what to expect at the SOS. I will take these names and see if I find them! THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE ADVICE!!! Ninh's assistant is taking us to the appointments *Thu* pronounced 2.

Granny! We can't wait to see you!!! Thanks for much for everything. Please continue to pray for Gabby! We need her home ASAP!

Dana, you are right on target!!! Mom and I were laughing reading your comment...we think alike which is REAL scary! We have been wondering about the Halloween Costume! I am sure Nanny has something brewing! She needs to be a button because she is SO darn cute! I love how the twins associate party=cake!!! Can't wait to see them!

Thanks to ALL of you for your support and prayers! We will see you soon! Nanny and Jason will be contacting you with the Homecoming Plans. Also, mark your calendars for Halle-Grace 1st BIRTHDAY BASH coming up in November!!!! Her birthday is the 19th so we will set a date for the BASH when we get home!

SEE YOU SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
